What we are building
DronesFAQ is a structured decision-support and knowledge platform for people who buy, fly, maintain and work with small unmanned aircraft. It is not a news treadmill and it does not publish a page simply because a keyword exists.
How an answer is sourced
Legal and aviation claims start with primary authorities: national aviation regulators, current rules, official guidance and manufacturer manuals. Secondary sources can reveal user questions or practical edge cases, but they do not override the regulator or aircraft documentation.
- Concise answer first, with scope and key exception.
- Jurisdiction label for legal claims.
- Visible reviewed date and links to primary sources.
- Model or firmware qualifiers when behaviour is not universal.
- Scheduled review for fast-changing regulations and products.
Safety and uncertainty
We do not present static content, a calculator or geofence as flight clearance. When evidence is incomplete, the answer says so. We recommend the safer reversible action: land, wait, reduce scope, consult the manual or contact the relevant authority.
Commercial model
The long-term model combines clearly disclosed gear referrals, professional training and insurance partnerships, and a premium pilot workspace for saved aircraft, checklists and maintenance records. Commercial relationships do not buy conclusions or placement inside safety answers.
Corrections
Regulations and firmware change. If an answer appears outdated, submit the exact page, jurisdiction, aircraft and source through the question desk. High-risk corrections are prioritised.
